Goodbye!
I still love photography, but as the kids have gotten older and life has gotten crazier, I am not able to devote the time to it as I have in the past. I still very occasionally do shoots for others – mostly to keep up my skills – but those are few and far between. I’m going to leave this blog up for a record of my portfolio and for the off chance that I am able to pick it back up again.
Goodbye for now! Thanks for visiting!

Growing like weeds
Trash the dress, country style!
One of my good friends moved away this summer, but we hooked up for a trash-the-dress session before she left. If you haven’t heard of it, a trash-the-dress portrait session is just a bridal session held after the wedding, when you don’t have to worry about keeping the gown spotless. In Annie’s case, her session was held close to her 1 year anniversary!
This shot is probably my favorite that I’ve taken this year:

My beautiful cousins
We squeezed this session in right before my surgery, and though it was rushed, I was so happy with the results.
PS – Aren’t these girls gorgeous??

This was my first time attempting cheerleading action shots. Hard but fun!

Quick session with my own kids
My mother had issued a challenge: take a picture of both kids together, vertical orientation, in a blue/green color scheme to match the decor of her new house. Piece of cake, right? It only took a few hours at the mall, new toys, a bag of M&Ms, promises of McDonalds for dinner and mad photoshop skillz to make this happen.

(Aren’t they getting so big?? They both start preschool next week!)
I have to apologize…
I know there haven’t been updates on this blog for a very long time, and I’m sorry! I had major surgery in mid-July, and recovery kicked my behind for longer than I’d been planning on. Only recently have I been able to work on the sessions that I squeezed in right before surgery.
The good news is that lots of updates will be coming in the next few days, and I am starting to take a limited number of sessions for fall. Very limited, as my work schedule for my (real) job is very hectic for the forseeable future and I do like to occasionally see my family.
Thanks for your patience and watch for updates!
